What causes garage door jamming?
The most common cause of this problem is obstruction in one of the tracks, usually a pebble. It is also possible for one of the tracks to be bent. In this case, the component will need timely repair or replacement, depending on how bad the problem is. Another common cause of jamming is a snapped cable. You should have it changed as soon as possible. Keep the opener disconnected in the meantime.
Why is there black residue on the garage door panels?
This problem typically occurs when the door has oil tempered spring. When the spring works, it releases tiny drops which get deposited on the panels as residue. To remove the marks, you need to wash the panels with a household detergent and water. Dissolve one cup of detergent in five gallons of water.
Are universal garage door openers necessary?
This depends on how badly you want to escape garage door opener replacement. Stoneham garage door experts suggest that if you don’t really have a problem with replacing the opener along with the garage door, then a universal garage door opener is not completely necessary.
